Can I get my health records in Greece?
Access to the full record scores 66 of 100 in Greece, against a median of 62 across 65 countries. Since May 2025 the national record (EHFY) shows diagnoses, prescriptions, test results and hospital stays in the MyHealth app and citizen portal. The EC still ranks Greece below the EU average, with no imaging reports in its 2024 data.
Can I control who sees my health record in Greece?
Control and consent scores 46 of 100 in Greece, against a median of 52 across 65 countries. Greek law logs every access to the record and lets the patient be told who looked and when. The 2019 law only requires that patients be informed of clinician access; a per-doctor consent or opt-out in the live platform is not verified.

Greece sits in Mixed (45 to 64); Strong starts at 65. The two rights furthest below the 65-country median, weighted, are patient control and consent (46, median 52) and research and trial consent (44, median 49). The published rubric reads:

Research and trial consent: A general opt-out that is honoured, or dynamic or opt-in consent, with a public register of research uses: 55 to 85.
Which laws give health record rights in Greece?
Law 4600/2019, Article 84 (Individual Electronic Health Record) (2019): Lifelong national record; access logging; patient told who accessed; non-waivable ban on employer, insurer, bank use.
Law 3892/2010 (electronic prescriptions and referrals) (2010): Doctors must issue prescriptions and referrals electronically through the IDIKA system.
Law 3418/2005 (Code of Medical Ethics), Article 14 (2005): Patient may see and copy their medical file; files kept 20 years after last visit.
